What we automate in a restaurant or bar

Most fixes land in what you already use: Excel, QuickBooks, your bookkeeper's sheet or a tool we build.

  • Distributor invoices, photographed or emailed as PDFs, read line by line into your books.
  • Last night's close checked against the bank deposit, with voids and comps listed by who approved them, for you only.
  • Tip-outs worked out from each server's sales the way your pool rule says, ready before payroll.
  • Sunday's inventory count typed once from the clipboard, next to what it should have been.
  • Each app's payout matched to the bank deposit, with its real cut after promotions and ads.
  • Food handler training due 60 days after each hire, license renewals and grease trap pump-outs, on one calendar.

On the walk, we find which of these your place has. See the full list for restaurants and bars

For restaurants, bars and food trucks the owner runs.

What you keep Keep Toast, Square or whatever runs your point of sale. We work on everything around it.

How it works

You can stop after any of them.

  1. Today

    Free

A free call, by phone. You tell us where the week goes. We tell you plainly whether a walk would pay for itself.

  2. The walk

    Paid

A visit to your place, and a look at your records.

The walk starts at $500. Bigger businesses get a quote on the free call. Start a fix of $1,500 or more within 30 days and the walk fee comes off its price.

Not worth it to you? Text or email us within 7 days of the call where you go over your sheet, and you get the walk fee back.

  3. Your sheet

Every problem in dollars, usually within a week of getting your records. You keep it either way.

  4. Then, only if you want

    Paid

One fix, priced before work starts, and a monthly check you can cancel any month.

A case of fries on the invoice never came off the truck.

Monday's delivery. Coastway's invoice bills 10 cases of fries. Nine came in. The cook wrote the 9 in pencil after the driver left, so the driver's copy says nothing, and nobody asked for the credit.

The fix: the count at the back door goes into a photo or a short form, each invoice is checked against it, and a credit request is drafted for your OK by the next morning. This is one of the things a walk looks for.

Who walks your business

Most owners I meet lose their evenings to the same few jobs: the quote typed up at night, the invoice that never went out, the call nobody got back to.

Before Lumora I did the paperwork at a water damage company, and I automated most of it. Now Lumora walks businesses around Gainesville and does the same.

I speak English and Spanish, so your office can work in either.
