What this site collects
Nothing beyond what you send us. There are no forms that send us anything, no accounts, no ads, no cookies and no analytics.
The site remembers two things in your browser: whether you chose English or Spanish, and whether you paused the moving phone picture. Both stay on your device. Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes them.
The fonts and images load from this site, not from other companies.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs each visitor’s IP address for security, as its own documentation says. GitHub’s privacy statement covers those logs. We add no tracking of our own.
The loss calculator does its math on your phone or computer. Nothing you type is sent to us or saved.
Some pages link to other sites, such as the sources in our articles. Those sites have their own privacy rules.
This site is for business owners. It is not meant for children.
When you call, text or email us
We get your phone number or email address and whatever you tell us. We use it to answer you, set up the call and follow up on what we agreed. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not send marketing texts.
We do not record calls.
Texts stay on our phone and with the phone companies that carry them. Emails are kept by our email provider.
What you share on a walk, and how we handle it
A walk runs on your own records. Here is how we treat them.
- The call history is the one your phone company already keeps, and we use it only with your written OK. It shows when calls came in and whether anyone answered. It is not a recording, and you may black out personal calls before you send it. If your phone company keeps no history, your staff keeps a hand tally for 30 days instead.
- You run the exports, or give us a user seat of our own. We never take a shared password or a login sheet.
- We accept exports with no card or bank numbers, no Social Security or ID numbers, no health data and no GPS or location logs. If one arrives with them, we delete it and ask for a clean one. Any customer address or call-location column is deleted the day the file arrives.
- We keep exports encrypted and use them only for your sheet. Only the people at Lumora handling your walk open them. We delete them once your sheet is delivered and confirm the deletion to you in writing.
- Nothing gets filmed or recorded without your OK, and a call is recorded only if everyone on it agrees first, as Florida law requires. Photos only of what you point to, unless we agree on more. We place test calls to your line only if you check that box on the call-history OK.
Fixes run in your own accounts, in your name. We work through a user seat of our own, keep no copies of your passwords and keep none of your logins on our server. When we part, you remove our seat. When you pay through the link on our invoice, Stripe handles your card or bank details under its own privacy policy. We see that you paid, not your full card or account number.
We use AI where it helps, and we tell you where and why. Your exports go into an AI service only with your OK: on a business account whose terms bar training on your data, or on a model that runs on our own computer. If a fix uses an AI service, the fix terms name it, say that it does not train on your data and say how long it keeps data.
Deleting your data
Walk exports are deleted once your sheet is delivered, and we confirm it in writing. If you withdraw your OK and ask in writing, we delete what you shared within 2 business days. We keep your sheet and our notes, which hold counts, not your files, along with the signed agreement, the call-history OK and the record of the deletion, for 5 years after our last work for you. Invoices and payment records are kept 7 years. Then we destroy them.
You can ask us at any time to delete your messages and contact details, or to take your shop off our visit list. Call, text or email us. We keep only what we must: if you asked us to stop texting you, a record of that request for 5 years, so we never text you again, and the records the law or your agreement requires.
If something goes wrong
If we find out, or have reason to believe, that a breach touched data you gave us, we tell you as fast as we can and no later than 10 days after. If you are a client, we also give you what you need for any notice the law requires of you. The walk agreement says so in writing. Florida law sets the same 10 days for a business that keeps or processes personal information for another business (F.S. 501.171).
